Tribe Kids is all about connecting with your children while teaching them godly principles.
First and foremost, we want to connect your children to God with engaging messages that they can use to navigate their natural curiosity as they grow. Second, we want to connect your children with small group leaders who will invest in you children’s lives on a regular basis. Within our Sunday Tribe Kids time, we break into small groups to facilitate deeper and more personal discussion, and to give your children time to personally hear from an older leader who has lived out these godly principles in real life.
At Tribe, we are all about developing stronger families, so our services are designed to do just that. First, we come together as a family to worship in our main sanctuary. This is a time to quiet our hearts, thank God for His provision, and help everyone focus on our Father God. From there, our Tribe kids are released to their Tribe Kids environment for age-appropriate lessons based on God’s Word and saturated in loads of fun.
Parents, we want to partner with you. Not only are we teaching your children the Word, but we want to provide you with follow-up material to facilitate meaningful discussions with your children and give you opportunities to dig deeper into these biblical truths. Most of the lessons we will teach correspond with a family reading plan on the YouVersion Bible app. If you have any questions about how to access these free plans or follow-up with your children, please let us know. We are here to serve.
We can’t do Tribe Kids without YOU. From setup crew to small group leaders, you are helping us invest in the church of tomorrow with your faithful service.
Small-Group Leaders: These leaders (women AND men) regularly influence our kids’ lives by sitting down with them and discussing the principles we are teaching in Tribe Kids. Small-group leaders spend time with our kids during our normal Sunday service times. They help lead discussions and spend time getting to know and praying for our kids. Not sure what to talk about? Not a problem. We’ll always equip you with discussion questions and an activity to facilitate your small-group time.
Assistant Lead Teacher: If teaching and leading is your jam, we’ve got an opportunity for you. The Assistant Lead Teacher will get to know the Tribe Kids program inside and out. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to begin training in children’s ministry. On the rare occasions that the Lead Teacher is out, the Assistant Lead Teacher will put his or her knowledge to use and take a turn at leading the service. Responsibilities on weeks that the Assistant Lead Teacher is in charge include emceeing between different segments, preparing a message based on our curriculum for that week, and preparing a game and object lesson that corresponds with the week’s theme. We will train you! No experience required, just a willing and teachable heart.
Setup/Teardown and Check-In Team: If you want to help in Tribe Kids AND attend the entire service in our main sanctuary, we have a position for you too. To create a cozy and welcoming environment for your children, we spend time before church setting up, and we could use your help. Additionally, about 15 minutes before service begins, we have an opportunity for someone to man the check-in table and make name tags for our kids. Finally, after service, we can always use extra hands helping tear down and pack away our resources. If you can help with all or part of these, we welcome your help. Just let us know what times work with your schedule.
