Week four of “Work Smarter, Not Harder” camped out again in Judges 6, this time reading the angel’s full appearance to Gideon slowly and looking specifically for what it reveals about gifts and talents. The room worked through the passage together, spotting things like humility and a cautious, want-proof-first honesty in how Gideon responds to God’s call - not qualities that look like leadership material on the surface.
That’s exactly the point Brian wanted to make. God doesn’t call Gideon by first fixing his self-doubt or upgrading his resume. He tells him to go with the strength he already has, while Gideon is still in the middle of naming every reason he’s the wrong man for the job - weakest clan, least in his family. God’s answer isn’t a pep talk about hidden potential; it’s a flat statement of fact: I will be with you.
The application for the room was about gifts and talents specifically: you don’t need to feel ready, confident, or fully developed before God can use what you already have. The strength you have right now, however small it looks to you, is the strength God is asking you to bring.

La cuarta semana de “Trabaja más inteligente, no más duro” acampó de nuevo en Jueces 6, esta vez leyendo despacio la aparición completa del ángel a Gedeón y buscando específicamente lo que revela sobre los dones y talentos. La sala trabajó el pasaje junta, notando cosas como la humildad y una honestidad cautelosa, de quiero-pruebas-primero, en cómo Gedeón responde al llamado de Dios: no cualidades que en la superficie parezcan material de liderazgo.
Ese es exactamente el punto que Brian quería hacer. Dios no llama a Gedeón arreglando primero su inseguridad ni mejorando su currículum. Le dice que vaya con la fuerza que ya tiene, mientras Gedeón sigue en medio de nombrar todas las razones por las que es el hombre equivocado para la tarea: el clan más débil, el menor de su familia. La respuesta de Dios no es una charla motivacional sobre el potencial escondido; es una declaración llana de un hecho: yo estaré contigo.
