Chris Bates // Tribe Youth

Chris moved to JH from Miami and soon after came to our Tribe fam as a young adult hungry (in both ways) for depth and authenticity. He found it immediately as Brian cheerfully pointed him to the tear down crew at Tribe’s first meeting place. When not coaching or personal training, Chris loves moving through the mountains each season with friends and fellow enthusiasts, across a wide spectrum of recreation.

Chris and his wife Kaysha were just married in July 2021 and decided to open a sports performance business, Victory Lab, at the same time. While working with athletes across the age spectrum and leading youth ministry, they have found this Tribe fam to be lifegiving and Christ centered.

Joy Abad // Tribe Kids

Joy can’t remember a time when she wasn’t involved in kids ministry. She started volunteering as soon as she graduated elementary school, and then she went on to lead in a world-renown children’s ministry in Oklahoma and later to teach kids in a small country church nestled in the rice fields of Japan. Joy's passion is for all to know that God values and speaks through children, not just adults. They truly are the most important in His upside-down kingdom.

Joy couldn't do ministry without her better half--Isaac. They love leading their three girls on adventures, hiking, camping, and weekly pizza & movie nights.

Brian Hunter // Lead Pastor

Brian is a former ski bum now disciple of Jesus, Lissa's husband, Selah and Kai's dad, and adventurer in the mountains. He is the founding and lead pastor of Tribe located in beautiful Jackson, Wyoming. Brian’s greatest passion is to build strong families and make disciples that can spread the love of God to the uttermost bounds of the earth. A graduate from Oral Roberts University and an ordained minister, Brian's motto is "Strong to the Finish." Anyone can start the race, but it's how you finish that counts!

Lissa Hunter // Worship Leader

Lissa has always had a gift for writing and performing music, and when she combines it with ministry, God uses her to soften even the hardest of hearts. When she’s not skiing, hiking, or camping with her family, she’s either strumming her Rainsong creating new melodies or she’s working with her hands to build furniture or remodel homes. Lissa loves people, and her heart for helping them is evident in everything she sets her hand (or voice) to.

Amanda Lack // Connections Coordinator

Something that Amanda doesn't forget to do is have fun! Life is too tough and, at times, too short to miss the opportunities of joy that the Lord brings. She's a full-time wife and mom, full-time education administrator, and a full-time volunteer at Tribe. Her heart is for ministry and simply just loving on people.

Amanda loves read, watching NFL games with her teenage sons, and hiking to explore the beautiful mountains of Wyoming. She understands that it's a privilege to call this place home. Serving and spending time with God and those she loves are Amanda's favorite things in the world.
